SIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES We had our introductory meeting yesterday. The first class is this coming Saturday at 10:00 AM at the church. If you’re interested in learning sign language, a little or a lot, come to the meeting June. If you have any questions, please call 785-841-5685.

N.O.W.- KENYAN STYLE! Our monthly Night of Worship is coming up. Next week, June 21, at 6:30 PM we are in for a treat. Evans Kamuru, worship leader at Gospel Outreach Center in Lenexa, and the worship team are going to lead worship. LTS IMPACT WEEKEND LTS Impact Weekend III is coming up! Impact will be held on July 17th and 18th – Friday evening and during the day Saturday. The cost is $20 per person if paid by July 12th. The cost goes up to $25 after the 12th. Although this is the 3rd weekend in a series of four, anyone can attend and be impacted by God! Please VISIT OUR TABLE in the lobby to learn what Impact Weekend is and how your life can be impacted!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MSC will host VBS for children 4 yrs. old – 6th grade. It will be July 6-10, (Monday-Friday) from 6-8:30 PM. There will be Bible stories, worship, Scripture memory, making cool crafts and more! We need adult volunteers to be a part of this exciting, faith-filled week. If interested in helping or learning more, please attend the informational meeting today, June 14, from 12-1:30 PM (pizza lunch provided.)

T.B.O.C. (TAKING BACK OUR CITY) Will be Wed. July 22 – Sat. July 25. This is a missions trip to Lawrence and surrounding communities for junior and senior high students. The cost is $50 if paid by July 12. After, the cost increases to $60. No Exceptions. Mandatory team meetings will be on Sunday, July 12 and 19. More details to follow.

HELP FOR LEADERS Pastor Rick Warren is offering a one day seminar for equipping leaders in the church. There are 5 teachings under the title “The Church, the Hope of the World.” The live simulcast will be this Wednesday, June 17 from 9-4 PM at the Mustard Seed Church. If you’re a leader in our church, you won’t want to miss this event!

LIFE’S HEALING CHOICES Wednesday, June 24, from 6:30-8 PM, Pastor Rick Warren will be teaching on the topic, “Life’s Healing Choices.” Would you like to learn more about making choices that bring healing into your life and the lives of those around you? If so, this seminar is for you! This is a free live simulcast that will be held at the MSC. Everyone is welcome.

IN HARMS WAY “We knew that people were still thinking of us, even when letters slowed and emails didn’t flow as often. The packages that meant the most were the unexpected. The packages you realized someone put together with you in mind. Those personal touches, like homemade cookies and brownies or store bought candies at Christmas individually wrapped to look like presents, really brought a sense of home to a foreign world.” (SPC Matthew Pool)
To show our appreciation for the hard earned freedom’s we enjoy each day, we are putting together as many care packages as we possibly can and shipping them overseas to our soldiers. Each package will be filled with practical and spiritual encouragement. You can donate money, needed items and/or help put boxes together. It costs between $15 and $50 to fill a box.
