ATTENTION LEADERS There will be a leadership potluck dinner Saturday, January 16 at 5:30 pm. Child care will be available. If you are unable to attend, please let Tatyana know.
INTERNATIONAL POTLUCK Bring a friend and some food to the International Potluck at the Kihm’s home on 315 Dakota Street today, Sunday, January 3. If you have any questions, call Ann Kihm at 841-8860.
HELP NEEDED We will be holding the “Origins of Life” class at the Kihm home for 4 Tuesday evenings. If you would like to cook a main meal for about 25 people or a dessert for the evening of January 5 or 12, please contact Ann Kihm at 979-3201 or akihm@sunflower.com.
ITEMS NEEDED 2 families in our church have recently moved and a few household items are needed: 2 beds, dining set (small), and a couch. If you can help out, please call Ann Kihm at 979-3201.
SENIOR FELLOWSHIP The Senior Fellowship Group (60+) is going to be meeting next Sunday, January 10, from 3-5 PM at the Burkhead’s, 3205 West 29th Terrace. We look forward to being together and counting our blessings for the New Year! If you have any questions, please call Carl or Joyce at 842-1466.
IMPACT WEEKEND Many have gone through the IMPACT weekends and lives have been transformed. Now is your chance. In February, we will begin another set of IMPACT weekends. However, it won’t be over all 12 months; it will all happen in the 4 weekends of February. Block off these few days for a time of learning and growing. MISSIONS TRIP January is almost here. Ana López de Mateo, a member of our church, will travel to Guatemala for a mission trip to interpret for one of the doctors who will be providing health services to native Kaqchikel speakers. She is selling homemade tamales every Saturday to raise funds for her trip. The tamales are $2.50 each; any donation is appreciated. To order, call 785-812-1577 or e-mail to anavictoriagt@yahoo.com.
MLK Jr. CHOIR The 25th annual MLK Jr. Community Celebration will be here soon. In preparation, practices for the adult and children’s choirs will be starting soon. Children: January 2, 9 & 16 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Adult: January 2, 9 & 16 from 12:35 pm to 1:35 pm. All rehearsals will be held at the First Christian Church at 1000 Kentucky Street. LIFELINE FAIR January 24 and 31, before and after service, you will have access to the leaders of all our LifeLine groups. Ask the questions, get an idea of what their curriculum is and get to know them! This is a great opportunity to see where God wants you to get involved in the life of the church.
