ATTENTION LEADERS

There will be a leadership potluck dinner this Saturday, January 16 at 5:30 pm. Child care will be available. If you cannot attend, let Tatyana know.

HELP NEEDED The “Origins of Life” class is almost over. If you would like to cook a main meal for about 25 people or a dessert for this Tuesday, January 12, please contact Ann Kihm at 979-3201 or akihm@sunflower.com.

TITUS II Titus II will meet this Wednesday, January 13, in the Fellowship Hall from 9:30-11:30. Childcare is available. If you have any questions, please contact Robin Brooks at 843-5941. See you there!

SENDING OUT Rachael Costello leaves January 30 and is moving to Oaxaca, Mexico. The Mission Board is sponsoring a farewell party for her Sunday, January 24 at 12:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Come learn more about all the work she’ll do and how to partner with her.

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP The Senior Fellowship Group (60+) will not be meeting this Sunday due to weather conditions. We are planning to meet in February.

BETH MOORE Ladies, mark your calendars. A Beth Moore simulcast, “So Long, Insecurity,” will be here at the church. If you have questions, see Imy Poteet.

IMPACT WEEKENDS! IMPACT weekends have been transforming lives and now it’s your turn. In February, we will begin another set of IMPACT weekends. However, it won’t be over all 12 months; it will all happen in the 4 weekends of February. Block off these few days for a time of learning and growing. For more information, visit the booth in the lobby.

IMPACT PRICE HAS BEEN CUT! After a time of prayer with IMPACT Leadership, we agree that our foremost desire is to see more people benefit from the teachings so they can experience life change. We have been looking for ways to drop the price so it is more affordable. So we are dropping the early bird price down from $80 to $50/person for the ENTIRE course (that is $12.50 per weekend)! How can we do that? Instead of providing each person lunch on Saturday’s, we are asking for each person to bring their own lunch or pick up food at one of the nearby restaurants. We will continue to provide light refreshments, basic class notes, and challenging teachings but overall there will be less emphasis on food for the body and more for the soul. If you were wanting to attend the IMPACT Weekends, today is the day to sign up in the lobby.

LIVING WATER RANCH The 13th annual prayer and fasting retreat for junior and senior high students is fast approaching. It will be March 15-17th (Monday-Wednesday). The cost is $95, the early bird rate is $85 if you pay by Sunday, March 7th (no exceptions). Please start praying now for the group that will be going.

CONSENT FORMS Consent forms for 2010 are available at the kiosk today. There will be notary publics available to notarize the forms. They are required for your child(ren) to go to LWR and any other activities throughout this year.

FAMILY NEWS We would like to congratulate Valek & Luba Voronin, and family, on their new granddaughter Elsa Louise Ost. She was born January 8, weighing 5 lbs and was 17 3/4 inches long. Mother and baby are doing well.

EXIT 2:9 Next week after service, there will be a lunch for all college-aged students, in school and not in school, in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for a great time!

MISSIONS TRIP Ana López de Mateo, a member of our church, is traveling to Guatemala for a mission trip to interpret for one of the doctors who will provide health services. She is flying out January 30th and will come back February 7th. She is selling homemade tamales for $2.50 each every Saturday to raise funds; any donation is appreciated. To order, call 785-812-1577 or e-mail to anavictoriagt@yahoo.com.

LIFELINE FAIR January 24 and 31, before and after service, you will have access to the leaders of all our LifeLine groups. Ask questions, get an idea of what their curriculum is and get to know them! This is a great opportunity to see where God wants you to get involved in the life of the church.

TRUTH PROJECT Have you been wanting to study the Truth Project but haven’t been able to make it to the classes offered? Robin Brooks will be hosting the class at the church starting January 20 from 10 AM-12 PM for anyone interested. If you have any questions, please call Robin at 843-5941.

MLK Jr. CHOIR The 25th annual MLK Jr. Community Celebration choir practices have started. Children: January 16, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Adult: January 16, 12:35 pm to 1:35 pm.
