By editor • Mar 18th, 2010 • Category: Weekly NewsEASTER IS COMING APRIL 4TH! What a great opportunity to invite your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers! We are supplying practical tools to help you invite others. There are booklets and cards that you can pick up at the kiosk to use as a way to invite others. Easter is the most highly attended church service of the calendar year. Let’s use this opportunity to fill our church with new people on April 4th!
“Then they preached the word of God with boldness” Ac. 4:31
COMMUNION Next Sunday we will share communion as a family.
BETH MOORE A live Beth Moore simulcast, “So Long, Insecurity,” will be here April 24! Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the table in the lobby for $25. There you can find Beth Moore’s signed book, tickets to the conference, and additional information. This is a perfect opportunity to invite a friend you’ve been reaching out to; a small cost for you, a big reward for them. If you have questions, see Imy Poteet at the table.
WORSHIP FOR THE NATIONS We want to invite you to an awesome night of worship tonight. Luke Weese will be leading worship at 6:30 pm. Join us for a great time; don’t miss it! Come with a friend and get ready to worship and experience Jesus!
LIVING WATER RANCH A genuine and passionate THANK YOU to everyone who gave support with prayers and/or finances for the students and Connection staff that went to the Living Water Ranch retreat this past week. The theme was “Respond” and by God’s grace we responded as He called us! We responded to His call to pray, fast, wait, repent, forgive, lay down offenses, to holiness, purity, freedom and restoration. We could literally feel the prayer covering this year and all of the scholarship needs were met! Consequently, even though you weren’t with us - you were with us! If you are willing, please continue to pray in the days and weeks to come for God’s continued grace and protection as we “walk out” in the natural what God did in the spiritual. To God be the glory! Pastor Stan and Allison
NO CONNECTION Connection will resume meeting this Wednesday, March 17th. Hope to see you there!
SAVE THE DATE! The Kansas Speedway fundraiser is May 1st and 2nd. This is the main fundraiser for the youth and children’s ministries. Please talk with Pastor Stan or Allison if you can help or have questions.
EXIT 2:9 We all had a nice break from school, but sometimes one break doesn’t seem like enough. We’re offering you one more just for fun! Next week after service, there will be a free lunch for any and all college-aged students in the Fellowship Hall. Join us for a delicious lunch and meaningful conversation. Hope to see you there!
FAMILY NEWS We would like to extend our condolences to Ron and Carolyn Lang on the loss of Ron’s sister, Goldie Watkins. You and your family are in our prayers.
BACK FROM HAITI The team accomplished a lot, is worn out, and is deeply grateful for all who have invested in us. We could not do what has been done without your partnership. We will have a LOT to share.
MISSION’S TRIP The youth are taking a missions trip to Mexico, July 31st-August 7th. The cost is $800. We will be doing fundraisers to defray the cost. This trip is open to adults on a limited basis (students have priority). If you have any questions or need additional information, please talk with Pastor Stan. We would like to know who is going by next Sunday, March 14th in order to start planning accordingly; please let Pastor Stan or Allison know if you are going.
MEXICO TEAM MEETING There will be a mandatory Mexico team meeting today after service for 30 minutes. If you plan on going on this mission’s trip, plan on attending this important meeting. If you’re unable to attend, please see Pastor Stan.
BAKE SALE To help the youth start raising funds for their trip to Mexico, there will be a bake sale at the church, March 28th. Come pick up some sweets and help the youth reach people for Christ.
