PROJECTIONISTS NEEDED Have you wanted to be in the worship ministry, but CAN’T SING!? By serving as a projectionist, you CAN lead others in worship. We are in need of individuals willing to serve one Sunday per month projecting lyrics and sermon notes. Training is simple; prior computer skills are helpful. If you are interested, contact Susan King (king@ku.edu).

CONGRATULATIONS!!! We celebrate with a “young” couple in our congregation who reached an enviable milestone in their lives. Bob and Pat Timmons celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Friday, June 4th. They were married in 1950 at Danforth Chapel on the KU Campus. Bob is a retired KU Track and Field coach who influenced hundreds of lives in his memorable career as a teacher and coach. Pat has always been an anchor in Bob’s life and is still the lovely KU cheerleader he married 60 years ago!

PARTNERSHIP CLASS Partnership Class starts next Sunday, June 13, after the morning service in the Fellowship Hall. Come learn about our history, leadership and ministries. Lunch will be provided. If you’re interested in the class, please sign up at the kiosk so we can plan accordingly.

TITUS II Titus II will meet this Wednesday, June 9, in the Fellowship Hall from 9:30-11:30. This is a great time for women to get together to share and encourage one another. Childcare is available. If you have questions, contact Robin Brooks at 843-5941.

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP (60+) The Senior Fellowship will have their annual summer potluck next Sunday, June 13th, at the home of Ray and Barbara Dennis, 1726 W, 28th Terrace. We will eat at 5 PM but people may come at 4 PM to visit. Any questions, call Carl and Joyce at 842-1466.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!!! Wildwood Forest is just a few weeks away! June 21-25, from 6-8:30 pm, step deep into the jungle and experience Bible stories, skits, worship, arts and crafts, snacks and much, much more. All those 4 years old through 6th grade are invited for this great time. There is no cost to attend VBS. Pre-register your children today at the kiosk for a wild time at Wildwood Forest!

VBS VOLUNTEERS MEETING Today after service there will be a meeting for those interested in helping with VBS this summer, whether or not you have kids. It will be a 30-minute meeting and will take place in the Fellowship Hall.

YOUTH MISSION TRIP Connection will take a summer mission’s trip to the St. Louis Dream Center July 7-11. The cost is $100/person. Because there have been many conflicts with these dates, please let Pastor Stan or Allison know TODAY if you’re going so that we can gauge the interest level and make a final decision.

WORSHIP TEAM OPENINGS! The Worship Team is looking for male and female vocalists and some instrumentalists. There is a process to get on the Worship Team and some minimum requirements. The Process: fill out an application, go through a interview and vocal or instrumental tryout, and a interview with Pastor Paul. Minimum Requirements: You must be a Born-again Christian, be at least 16 years old with reliable transportation, have regular church attendance for 9 months, and formalized partnership with the Church. If you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you about putting your God-given talents to work, this may be your opportunity. Contact the church office or Pastor Paul at 785-841-5685.

VIDEO MINISTRY STARTING! As leaders we have made the decision to enter into the video ago and to videotape our teachings and worship. To do this we need at least one person to start and then others, who have camera knowledge and videotaping skills to start this ministry in the church. Talk with Pastor Paul if you are interested. He can be contacted at 841-5685 Tuesday-Friday, 9am to 4pm. Is God speaking to you?

SUMMER ALPHA COURSE The Kihm’s will be hosting a 6 week ALPHA course (Introduction to Christianity) in their home, 315 Dakota, every Wednesday night this summer for Internationals. We encourage American students/young adults to join us too! Our evenings include dinner. This is where you come in! We are looking for volunteers to HELP COOK A MEAL for about 25 people.
