Fathers, mirror your heavenly Father to your children so they can easily make the transfer. Transfer what? If we will make the transfer of trust from earthly father to Heavenly Father, we will discover this is who we have been looking for all our lives. That is exactly what Jesus did when he was on the earth. Jesus desire is for us to see, know, and transfer our trust onto God the Father. John 14:8-9, Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. Jesus authored the concept of God as a Heavenly Father and how to relate to Him. If we know the Father, it really will be “enough.” It will find the most basic need we all have-to be loved and accepted by our creator. Atheists reject and hate God because they don’t know him. A person can reject God because of their experience with bad earthly authority figures, but if we ever truly knew God and his character, we would love and trust him.
