COMMUNION Today, we will have communion as a family.

LEO CENTER FOOD DRIVE This is the last Sunday!!! For the month of July, we have a great opportunity to reach the city of Lawrence: we can help Lawrence families in a big way. We are collecting food to donate to the Leo Center to help out those who have been struggling; from finding a job and paying for utilities, finding a meal is something we can take off of their list. This week, when you stop by the grocery store, pick up a few extra cans and boxes of food. Montetary donations are also welcomed. We are blessed and now is our chance to bless others. All donated food can be placed in the trailer in the lobby until this Friday.

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP The Senior Fellowship (60+) will not meet in July and August but will begin again in September.

SERMONS TO GO Getting the sermon has never been easier! The newest addition to our media distribution is the ability to subscribe to the MSC Sermon or Worship podcast within iTunes. Instructions on subscribing to the podcasts are available on the church website under the Sermons or Worship page.

FAMILY NEWS Last week we announced that Pastor Stan was leaving. For those of you who were not at church last Sunday, we recorded the announcement. This will enable you to hear first-hand what was said rather than from second or third-hand reports. CD’s of the announcement will be available at the Kiosk after the service.

OUT OF THE OFFICE Pastor Paul will be out of the office until July 30 for a vacation. If you have any questions for him, please contact the office at 785-841-5685.

MORNING GLORY Do you believe that prayer makes a difference? If so, consider joining our pre-service prayer time at 9:00 am in the Prayer Room. If we desire to experience more of God’s glory during our Sunday service, we need to begin by committing ourselves to pray. Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer.” Come and be a part of our prayer group, “Morning Glory,” and watch your prayers make a difference!

TOUR OF LAWRENCE In just 4 weeks, Saturday, August 14th, we will welcome new Internationals with a TOUR of Lawrence and GIVE AWAY HOUSEHOLD ITEMS at the Housewarming. Your unneeded items can be someone else’s blessing! If you have furniture and you need to get it out of your house before August 14th, contact Len Andyshak at 766-3279 or revlen@ku.edu. Otherwise, plan to bring your items Saturday morning to an outdoor area near Burge Union at K.U. Detailed information will be available August 1st.

PRAYERFUL NEED One of the mission areas supported by the Mustard Seed Church is Bridges Ministries/Enlaces Con Cristo in Comayagua, Honduras. This mission is lead by Currie & Sandi Burgess and is the mission that our own Susan Smith works in. This past week a medical condition with a young Honduran woman, who’s been on the mission staff a long time, became an emergency requiring surgery, hospital stay, and finally ICU care as she slipped into a coma. The woman’s condition was very critical and a call was put out for healing prayer. This call was answered from all over the USA and beyond. Prayer worked a miracle as the woman improved and has come out of the coma state. She faces additional surgery and prolonged care and recovery time. Currie & Sandi ask for continued prayer support that was so important in her improvement. The Honduran medical system demands payment as you go, and even with insurance the cost to the mission will be over $10,000! The mission is asking that as you pray for the healing touch of Jesus on this young woman’s life, that you will be in prayer whether God would have you assist in the financial needs. If you make a monetary donation, please earmark it “Enlaces Medical Need.”
