Mustard Seed Church

The person of the Holy Spirit is a gift to the world, The Church, and to us personally. Paul tells us to eagerly desire spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 14:1, “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts,…” What is the Holy Spirit’s purpose in all this? He is bringing about, common good, unity, strengthening us, convicting the world of sin and show us true righteousness, and to bring glory, honor, thanksgiving and praise TO GOD THE FATHER AND JESUS CHRIST His son.

We are to desire and administrate the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for the right reasons. They can be encouraged or discouraged, received or rejected, used for good or misused for evil. Gifts areas simply tools, depending on the heart of the worker who is using them, they will hurt or they will help. You don’t earn them. We are to receive them by faith and then submit ourselves to God and follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

God will hold us accountable for how we managed His gifts. They are intended to deepen our trust and love of God, while benefiting everyone who needs the benefits of God’s gifting by grace.
