Brief Description of group: This is an introduction to the MSC. Information is presented on the history of the Mustard Seed Church as well as doctrines and beliefs of this church body. The leadership structure is explained and opportunities for church involvement are explored. This class is part of leadership training and is required prior to leadership placement. The goal of this class is to help you understand enough about the MSC to be able to make a decision about joining as a membership partner.
Format: It’s set up in a question, answer and discussion format after a free lunch is served.

Alpha Course

Brief Description of group: Explore the meaning of life, the Christian faith, in a relaxed setting over thought-provoking weekly sessions. This course continues to be one of the Mustard Seed’s most successful tools for communicating the Gospel to non-believers as evidenced by numerous changed lives and salvation decisions. For Christians it is an excellent place to develop a deeper understanding of who Christ is and how to develop a relationship with him. Join us for a free meal, exciting video, great discussions and a Spirit-filled retreat!
Format: We have a dinner together, provided free of charge. It is followed by a video lesson and then we break up into smaller discussion groups and talk about what we learned in the video.
Duration: Spring & Fall semesters (10 weeks each with a weekend retreat)

Spring Bible Class

• Monday night, Building a Faith that Lasts: Hebrews 6:30-7:30 & Church History 2: Reformation to Today  7:45-8:45; Jan 23-May 21, ($75)
• Thursday night, Your Relationships with God 6:30-7:30 & A Biblical Answer to the Problem of Suffering 7:45-8:45; Jan 26-April 12, ($45)

Format: Lecture & class discussion.
Duration: One hour per week (except OT/NT Survey classes: 2 hours per week); 15 weeks (some are 8 or 9 weeks); classes begin the week of January 22, 2012

Experiencing God

Brief Description of group: Would you like to learn how to know the will of God and do it? This class will help you learn how you can experience God in your daily life. How does God speak to our hearts; how does He speak through circumstances; how does He speak through other people; and how does He speak to us through the church? If you would like to really grow in your relationship to God, this group is for you!
