EASTER IS COMING APRIL 4TH! What a great opportunity to invite your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers! We are supplying practical tools to help you invite others. There are booklets and cards that you can pick up at the Kiosk to use as a way to invite others. Easter is the most highly attended church service of the calendar year. Let’s use this opportunity to fill our church with new people on April 4th!
“Then they preached the word of God with boldness” Ac. 4:31

BETH MOORE A live Beth Moore simulcast, “So Long, Insecurity,” will be here April 24! Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the table in the lobby for $25. There you can find more information, Beth Moore’s signed book, and tickets to the conference. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend you’ve been reaching out to; a small cost for you, a big reward for them. If you have questions, see Imy Poteet at the table.

ISRAEL Yvonne Routte, Scott Schlesener and Valek and Luba Voronin are traveling home from Israel. They will be back the 16th. Please keep them in your prayers.

SPRING BREAK During Spring Break, Pastor Pieter and Paul will be out all week and Pastor Stan will be out until Thursday.

WORSHIP FOR THE NATIONS Luke Weese will be here next Sunday, March 21, at 6:30 pm for a worship event. Join us for a great time of worship.

LIVING WATER RANCH The 13th annual prayer and fasting retreat is this week! The theme is “Respond” - how should we respond to the things God calls us to (i.e. repentance, obedience, purity)? We will meet at the church Monday morning (tomorrow!) at 8:00 a.m. All paper work and money are due TODAY by noon. Please pick up a parent packet with all the details at the kiosk if you haven’t already. Several students need scholarships this year, if you are able to partially or fully scholarship one of these deserving students, please talk with Pastor Stan today. And finally, PLEASE pray for all of those attending, beginning today and through next Sunday!

NO CONNECTION Connection will not meet this Wednesday, March 17th, due to the Living Water Ranch Retreat. We will resume meeting on March 24th.

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP The Senior Fellowship Group (60+) is going to meet today from 3-5 PM at the Burkhead’s, 3205 West 29th Terrace. We look forward to being together and enjoying the Son and sun! If you have any questions, please call Carl or Joyce at 842-1466.

MISSION’S TRIP The youth are taking a missions trip to Mexico, July 31st-August 7th. The cost is $800. We will be doing fundraisers to defray the cost. This trip is open to adults on a limited basis (students have priority). If you have any questions or need additional information, please talk with Pastor Stan. We would like to know who is going by next Sunday, March 14th in order to start planning accordingly; please let Pastor Stan or Allison know if you are going.

MEXICO TEAM MEETING There will be a mandatory Mexico team meeting next Sunday, March 21st after service for 30 minutes. If you plan on going on this mission’s trip, plan on attending this important meeting. If you’re unable to attend, please see Pastor Stan.

BAKE SALE To help the youth start raising funds for their trip to Mexico, there will be a bake sale at the church, March 28th. Come pick up some sweets and help the youth reach people for Christ.

OFF TO HAITI Pastor Paul Taylor and Dr. Alan McBride are with a team in Haiti through One Heart Missions International. They have been there for almost a week and will return March 18. Their outreaches combine ministry with the medical and feeding programs. Please pray for this team as they are on this difficult trip.

TRIP TO NEPAL Kyle LaRosh, Yvonne Routte and Valek & Luba Voronin, of the Missions Board, have made it safely to Nepal. They are enjoying their time with the Wilson family very much. Please keep them in your prayers during their visit. They return February 25.

TELEPHONE DIRECTORY We are starting our spring-summer directory. If you aren’t in it but would like to be or have had information change, and didn’t have a chance to fill out your information last week, please do so at the kiosk. Today is the last day to sign up. Directories will be available next week.

BETH MOORE A live Beth Moore simulcast, “So Long, Insecurity,” will be here April 24! A table has been set up in the lobby with information, Beth Moore’s book, and tickets to the event. Tickets cost $25. If you have questions, see Imy Poteet at the table.

EXIT 2:9 Next week after service, there will be a free lunch for college-aged students in the Fellowship Hall.

COMMUNION Next week we will share communion as a family.

PARTNERSHIP CLASS Today after service, the Partnership Class will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall. It’s not too late to sign up. Come learn about our history, leadership and ministries. Lunch will be provided.

LIVING WATER RANCH The 13th annual prayer and fasting retreat for junior and senior high students is just 3 weeks away on March 15-17th. The cost is $95; early bird rate is $85 if paid by Sunday, March 7th (no exceptions). Start praying now for the group that will be going.

OFF TO HAITI Two of our very own, Pastor Paul Taylor and Dr. Alan McBride, are joining a team bound for Haiti through One Heart Missions International. All outreaches combine ministry with all their medical and feeding programs. One task the team has been challenged with is feeding the people in the area they serve. If they gather all the resources, they would like to feed 20,000 people. They would also like to feed the 1000 children that will be visited at the orphanage. This means we have another giving opportunity as a church. The Haiti team would like to raise a total of $5,000-10,000 to reach this goal. 100% of the funds will be used for the food program. The deadline for raising the money is March 1, 2010. All gifts are tax deductible. Make checks payable to MSC with “Haiti Food Program” in the memo line.

SAVVY DADS Grace EPC is happy to host this fathering conference which is designed to help equip fathers in one of their most important roles. It will meet Feb. 26 from 7-9:45 pm and Feb. 27 from 8:30 am-12:45 pm and Dr. Ken Canfield will be the keynote speaker. The cost is $20 per person. Attending this meeting will not commit you to the trip, but it will give Pastor Stan an idea of who is interested and will provide you with more information. This trip is open to adults on a limited basis (students have priority). If you are an adult who is interested, please talk with Pastor Stan.

WINTER JAM Think February is a bit dull with the weather and lack of excitement? Come to the Winter Jam Festival! It will feature many well-known Christian artists for only $10! It’s happening Feb. 28 at the Sprint Center at 6 pm. Doors open at 5. There will be no advanced ticket sales. www.hearitfirst.com/winterjam

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP The Senior Fellowship (60+) will meet from 3 to 5 PM today at Carl and Joyce Burkhead’s home, 3205 W. 29th Terrace. Call 842-1466 for questions or directions. Our theme: Sharing God’s Love. Spouses can bring their mates if they are not yet 60.

CHURCH NEED A single mom in our church has a need for a vehicle. If you have a vehicle you can donate to help her, please contact Keith or Carol Noe at 887-6931.

IMPACT There are 2 weekends left. You may have missed the first two weekends, but you haven’t missed out on what God can do in your life. We can’t put a price on what God is doing here, but because we have to, we made it affordable for everyone; just $15 per weekend! See Pastor Paul & Barb Taylor or Eli & Elisa Brooks if you’re interested in signing up for the weekends.

SAVVY DADS Grace EPC is happy to host this fathering conference which is designed to help equip fathers in one of their most important roles. Many other churches from the area are joining with them. It will meet Feb. 26 from 7-9:45 pm and Feb. 27 from 8:30 am-12:45 pm and Dr. Ken Canfield will be the keynote speaker. The cost is $20 per person. For more information, please visit www.gepc.com.

FAMILY NEWS We would like to congratulate Cori & Lori Schwepler, missionaries we support, on the birth of Elisea Naomi Schwepler. She was born February 10. She was 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces. All the kids have taken to her very well!

HAITI
In Haiti, Samaritan’s Purse is working non-stop to help survivors of the catastrophic Jan. 12 earthquake. This has been the most massive relief project in the history of Samaritan’s Purse. We thank God for providing resources and opening the doors for help to be delivered into the crippled country. We praise God for what He is doing through Samaritan’s Purse to meet physical and spiritual needs of the people in Haiti. Our prayers and support make a difference. Continue to lift up the teams on the ground. They need Gods strength and wisdom as they help and minister to those who have lost everything.
They have provided makeshift homes, have reopened a clinic at one of the largest churches in Cite Soleil where over 1,500 survivors have been treated, and 250 tons of rice and other staples have been handed out to thousands of families with focus on mothers and other women. Food has also been delivered to over 40 orphanages. A water filtration system has been set up at 10 locations, providing more than 20,000 people with clean drinking water. All efforts are ongoing.
“On their behalf, I want to personally thank you for supporting our relief work in Haiti and tell you how gifts like yours are saving lives and meeting needs in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you again for the generosity and compassion you have shown to the people of Haiti. May God bless you.” Franklin Graham, President, Samaritan’s Purse

Two of our very own, Pastor Paul Taylor and Dr.
