As pastor of the Mustard Seed Church, I want to thank you for visiting our website. I hope that you find it helpful and informative. Our “Statement of Beliefs” should help you understand our doctrinal underpinnings.
It is my belief that every person, in some way, is searching for purpose in his or her life. At the Mustard Seed we have found that a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ within the context of a loving community provides the answer for our life’s purpose.
A natural extension of this relationship is our desire to share this “Good News” with others, by reaching out to the people of our community in practical ways. We cannot accomplish this alone, so we work closely with other churches here in Lawrence to share the message of God’s love. We believe that God is love, and His love can fill our hearts like no one else on this earth ever can. God’s love can heal your hurts, set you free from anger and bitterness, help you find who you really are, break the cycle of rejection, lead you out of being a victim, and enable you to love others.
If you decide to personally visit our church, we hope that you experience His love through the members of our congregation. Anyone is welcome at any of our services or small groups. If our church is not a good fit for you, I would encourage you to visit other churches until you find one that you can call home.
