Statement of Beliefs
WHAT WE BELIEVE FROM SCRIPTURE

GOD
We believe that God has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
THE BIBLE
We believe all the words of Scripture are inerrant truth and were inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)
MAN
We believe in the creation, the test, and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis, which led to his total spiritual depravity and placed him under the sentence of death. (Romans 5:12, 18)
JESUS
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6)
We believe in the ascension of Jesus to heaven in bodily form, that He is exalted by His Father, and in the same way He left, He will come again. (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
SALVATION
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11)
BAPTISM
We believe in immersion water baptism for the believer in order to fulfill the command of Christ. Prior to being baptized, we ask that people visit with one of the pastoral staff. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:37-41, 19:1-6)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience in addition to salvation. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17; Galatians 3:14)
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as manifested in the early church. (1 Corinthians 11:12-14)
SACRAMENTS
We believe in the breaking of bread, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper, for believers. This is celebrated on the last Sunday morning of each month, and all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are invited to join us. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32)
CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe in the Spirit-filled life and the development of Godly character in the fear of the Lord as an expression of Christian life. (Ephesians 5:16; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
ETERNITY
We believe in eternal life for the believer. (John 5:24, 3:16)
We believe in eternal punishment for the unbeliever. (Mark 9:43-50; 2 Thessalonians 1:9)
THE DEVIL
We believe in the existence of Satan and his angels, along with their final judgment. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15)
We believe that the believer has been fully equipped to resist and overcome all the lies and attacks of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 5:8-9; Revelation 12:10-11)
